Welcome to Fundamentals 1st Preschool sports Program!

The class will primarily focus on preparing your child for elementary school physical education classes and yard games. But this class will also work on enhancing your child’s gross motor skills, developing and improving hand eye coordination, increasing confidence in playground games, learning conflict solving techniques that will be needed on the playground, all while having fun!!  These skills are necessary for playing sports like soccer, football, basketball, etc.

The class’ structure will be as follows:

Start with some active warm-ups and aerobic activities
Then move on to activities and games which promote balance, optimize running stride, improve gross motor skills and build muscle strength.
Activities such as skipping, hopping, jumping, squats, crunches and pushups will be used to increase your child’s strength and gross motor skills
Various games will be played to improve and enhance your child’s hand eye coordination

The class will initially be structured around teaching your children the fundamentals of sports with games such as tracking a ball and relays. As the class progresses and your child's techniques develop and strengthen, we will move onto catching and throwing and games such as “Sharks and Minnows.”

The goal of the class is to provide a safe and fun environment for your child and help them improve and grow in ability, strength and skill.

Please contact Jonah Rampe if you are interested in having Fundamentals 1st partner with your preschool.
